If a local government proposes to perform a public work itself in accordance with subsection 2 of NRS 338.1442, the public officer responsible for the management of the public works of the local government must, if the estimated cost of the public work is more than $25,000 but not more than $100,000 and before work on the public work is commenced, prepare a signed attestation regarding the decision of the local government to perform the public work itself.\n2.
