Any licensed teacher who is initially licensed on or after July 1, 2019, except for a teacher who is licensed only as a substitute teacher, must submit with his or her first application for renewal of his or her license to teach proof of the completion of a course in multicultural education. If the licensed teacher is initially issued a nonrenewable license, he or she must submit such proof with his or her first application for a renewable license to teach.\n2. The Commission shall adopt regulations:\n(a) That prescribe the required contents of a course in multicultural education which must be completed pursuant to this section;\n(b) That prescribe the number of credits which must be earned by a licensed teacher in a course in multicultural education;\n(c) That establish standards for professional development training which may be used to satisfy any course work requirement prescribed pursuant to this section; and\n(d) As otherwise necessary to carry out the requirements of this section.","path":["TITLE 34 — EDUCATION","CHAPTER 391 - PERSONNEL","LICENSING OF EDUCATIONAL PERSONNEL"],"source_url":"https://www.leg.state.nv.us/NRS/NRS-391.html#NRS391Sec0347","current_through":"2025 session (NRS as revised 2026-08-25)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T05:51:38Z","sha256":"b43420c523f8f8f1d70d7569071be016f452e23f788ba24a96938d9dbf328e97","source_id":"us-nv","stale":true,"prev":"us-nv/nrs-391.0345","next":"us-nv/nrs-391.0349"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
