{"data":{"id":"us-nv/nrs-449.2419","jurisdiction":"us-nv","citation":"NRS 449.2419","heading":"Duties of health care facility that employs or allows person to engage in practice of surgical technology.","body":"Except as otherwise provided in NRS 449.24195, a health care facility that employs or otherwise allows a person to engage in the practice of surgical technology at the health care facility shall:\n1. Ensure that each such person, including, without limitation, a person who does not possess the qualifications prescribed by subsection 1 of NRS 449.24185, successfully completes not less than 15 hours annually of continuing education concerning the practice of surgical technology; and\n2. Maintain records showing that the health care facility is in compliance with this section and NRS 449.24185, including, without limitation:\n(a) Records of continuing education completed by surgical technologists;\n(b) Records demonstrating that a surgical technologist employed by the health care facility possesses the qualifications prescribed by subsection 1 of NRS 449.24185; and\n(c) If the health care facility employs a person who does not possess the qualifications prescribed by subsection 1 of NRS 449.24185 pursuant to subsection 3 of that section, records of the efforts of the health care facility to search for a sufficient number of surgical technologists who possess the qualifications prescribed by subsection 1 of that section before employing the person.","path":["TITLE 40 — PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY","CHAPTER 449 - MEDICAL FACILITIES AND OTHER RELATED ENTITIES","REQUIREMENTS RELATING TO STAFFING"],"source_url":"https://www.leg.state.nv.us/NRS/NRS-449.html#NRS449Sec2419","current_through":"2025 session (NRS as revised 2026-08-25)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T05:51:40Z","sha256":"0aa1c96e1e5e0ed98d394aa6a2e5f5e4bf8ce5165057be76265f05d68ceaa6b4","source_id":"us-nv","stale":true,"prev":"us-nv/nrs-449.24185","next":"us-nv/nrs-449.24195"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
