Has been approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration;\n2. Is capable of recognizing the presence or absence of ventricular fibrillation and rapid ventricular tachycardia in a patient;\n3. Is capable of determining, without intervention by the operator of the device, whether defibrillation should be performed on a patient;\n4. Upon determining that defibrillation should be performed on a patient, automatically charges and requests delivery of an electrical impulse to the patient’s heart; and\n5.
