At the time a motor vehicle owner registers as a shared vehicle owner through a peer-to-peer car sharing program and before being permitted to make a shared vehicle available for car sharing through the peer-to-peer car sharing program, the peer-to-peer car sharing program shall:\n(a) Verify that the shared vehicle is not subject to any safety recalls on the vehicle for which the repairs have not been made; and\n(b) Notify the shared vehicle owner of the requirements of subsections 2, 3 and 4.\n2. If a shared vehicle owner has received an actual notice of a safety recall on the vehicle, the shared vehicle owner may not make the vehicle available as a shared vehicle on a peer-to-peer car sharing program until the safety recall repair has been made.\n3. If a shared vehicle owner receives an actual notice of a safety recall on a shared vehicle while the shared vehicle is made available through a peer-to-peer car sharing program, the shared vehicle owner shall remove the shared vehicle from being made available through the peer-to-peer car sharing program as soon as possible after receiving the notice of the safety recall and until the safety recall repair has been made.\n4. If a shared vehicle owner receives an actual notice of a safety recall on a shared vehicle while the shared vehicle is in the possession of a shared vehicle driver, the shared vehicle owner shall notify the peer-to-peer car sharing program as soon as possible after receiving the notice of the safety recall so that the shared vehicle owner may address the safety recall repair.","path":["TITLE 43 — PUBLIC SAFETY; VEHICLES; WATERCRAFT","CHAPTER 482C - PEER-TO-PEER CAR SHARING PROGRAMS"],"source_url":"https://www.leg.state.nv.us/NRS/NRS-482C.html#NRS482CSec340","current_through":"2025 session (NRS as revised 2026-08-25)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T05:51:41Z","sha256":"8ec982cc33e926983a551c310f6d311e454d481f59ac617b74fe31fd3064b0f7","source_id":"us-nv","stale":true,"prev":"us-nv/nrs-482c.335","next":"us-nv/nrs-482c.350"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
