A person to whom a driver’s license is issued pursuant to NRS 483.2521 shall not, during the first 6 months after the date on which the driver’s license is issued, transport as a passenger a person who is under 18 years of age, unless the person is a member of his or her immediate family.\n2. A person who violates the provisions of this section:\n(a) For a first offense, must be ordered to comply with the provisions of this section for 6 months after the date on which the driver’s license is issued.\n(b) For a second or subsequent offense, must be ordered to:\n(1) Pay a civil penalty in an amount not to exceed $250;\n(2) Comply with the provisions of this section for such additional time as determined by the court; or\n(3) Both pay such a civil penalty and comply with the provisions of this section for such additional time as determined by the court.\n3.
