If a highway in this State is marked or posted with signs requiring the use of traction devices, tire chains or snow tires, a motor vehicle or combination of vehicles must be equipped with:\n(a) Traction devices, tire chains or snow tires if it has a gross weight or combined gross weight of 10,000 pounds or less.\n(b) Tire chains if it has a gross weight or combined gross weight of more than 10,000 pounds.\n2.
