An interpreter must be appointed at public expense for a person with limited English proficiency who is a defendant or a witness in a criminal proceeding.\n2. If a certified or registered court interpreter is not available, a court shall appoint an interpreter in accordance with the rules adopted pursuant to paragraph (e) of subsection 2 of NRS 1.510.\n3.
