Commissioners who are not in the regular employ of the State are entitled to receive a salary of not more than $80 per day, as fixed by the Commission, for time actually spent on the work of the Commission, except when a commissioner is employed by the Commission to render special, technical or professional services, in which event the commissioner is entitled to receive fees and expenses commensurate with the service rendered.\n2.
