If a child commits an alcohol or marijuana offense:\n(a) For a first or second offense:\n(1) The child is a child in need of supervision and is not a delinquent child, and the child must be placed under informal supervision pursuant to NRS 62C.200; and\n(2) The child shall perform not more than 24 hours of community service.\n(b) For a third or subsequent offense, a district attorney may file a petition alleging delinquency.\n2.
