{"data":{"id":"us-nv/nrs-635.010","jurisdiction":"us-nv","citation":"NRS 635.010","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:\n1. “Board” means the State Board of Podiatry.\n2. “Podiatry” is the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of ailments of the human foot and leg.\n3. “Podiatry hygienist” means a person engaged in assisting a podiatric physician.\n4. “Screening, brief intervention and referral to treatment approach” means an evidence-based method of delivering early intervention and treatment to persons who have or are at risk of developing a substance use disorder that consists of:\n(a) Screening to assess the severity of substance use and identify the appropriate level of treatment;\n(b) Brief intervention to increase awareness of the person’s substance use and motivation to change his or her behavior; and\n(c) Referral to treatment for persons who need more extensive treatment and specialty care for substance use disorder.","path":["TITLE 54 — PROFESSIONS, OCCUPATIONS AND BUSINESSES","CHAPTER 635 - PODIATRIC PHYSICIANS AND PODIATRY HYGIENISTS","GENERAL PROVISIONS"],"source_url":"https://www.leg.state.nv.us/NRS/NRS-635.html#NRS635Sec010","current_through":"2025 session (NRS as revised 2026-08-25)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T05:51:44Z","sha256":"9eba456517df9aeec12b639593c3430c2062491884c2d3b7881ac71197f2ca3e","source_id":"us-nv","stale":true,"prev":"us-nv/nrs-634b.910","next":"us-nv/nrs-635.015"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
