A person engaged in any business or profession for which a license is required pursuant to this chapter may not bring or maintain an action in any court of this State, or be awarded judgment, for the collection of compensation for the performance of any act or contract for which such a license is required without alleging and proving that the person was licensed at all times during the performance of the act or contract.\n2.
