Before filing an application for approval to acquire control of a licensee pursuant to NRS 671.155, a person may request in writing a determination from the Commissioner as to whether the person would be considered a person in control of a licensee upon consummation of a proposed transaction. If the Commissioner determines that the person would not be a person in control of a licensee, the proposed person and transaction is not subject to the requirements of NRS 671.155.\n2. If a multistate licensing process includes a determination pursuant to this section and the person requesting such a determination avails himself, herself or itself of or is otherwise subject to the multistate licensing process:\n(a) The Commissioner may accept the control determination of a state which is a lead investigative state in the multistate licensing process if the Commissioner determines that the state has sufficient staffing, expertise and minimum standards for the purposes of this section; and\n(b) If this State is a lead investigative state in the multistate licensing process, the Commissioner may investigate the person in the time frames established by agreement through the multistate licensing process.","path":["TITLE 55 — BANKS AND RELATED ORGANIZATIONS; OTHER FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS","CHAPTER 671 - MONEY TRANSMISSION","CHANGE OF CONTROL OR KEY INDIVIDUAL OF LICENSEE"],"source_url":"https://www.leg.state.nv.us/NRS/NRS-671.html#NRS671Sec165","current_through":"2025 session (NRS as revised 2026-08-25)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T05:51:45Z","sha256":"0782be505d1e37b18c166a355f426805b494a34a8370f1f697939f2f2ec212a8","source_id":"us-nv","stale":true,"prev":"us-nv/nrs-671.160","next":"us-nv/nrs-671.170"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
