Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, the provisions of NRS 695G.200 to 695G.310, inclusive, apply to all health carriers.\n2. The provisions of subsection 1 do not apply to:\n(a) A policy or certificate that provides only coverage for:\n(1) A specified disease or accident;\n(2) Accidents;\n(3) Credit;\n(4) Disability income;\n(5) Hospital indemnity;\n(6) Long-term care insurance;\n(7) Vision care; or\n(8) Any other limited supplemental benefit;\n(b) A Medicare supplement policy of insurance, as defined in regulations adopted by the Commissioner;\n(c) Coverage under a plan through Medicare, Medicaid or the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program, FEHBP, 5 U.S.C. §§ 8901 et seq.;\n(d) Any coverage issued under the Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Uniformed Services, CHAMPUS, 10 U.S.C. §§ 1071 et seq., and any coverage issued as supplemental to that coverage;\n(e) Any coverage issued as supplemental to liability insurance;\n(f) Workers’ compensation or similar insurance;\n(g) Automobile medical payment insurance; or\n(h) Any insurance under which benefits are payable with or without regard to fault, whether written on a group, blanket or individual basis.","path":["TITLE 57 — INSURANCE","CHAPTER 695G - MANAGED CARE","EXTERNAL REVIEW OF ADVERSE DETERMINATION"],"source_url":"https://www.leg.state.nv.us/NRS/NRS-695G.html#NRS695GSec243","current_through":"2025 session (NRS as revised 2026-08-25)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T05:51:46Z","sha256":"1123f701200d83e168ef32e36281709587e732717b3d2a19be24c766fe70f7f5","source_id":"us-nv","stale":true,"prev":"us-nv/nrs-695g.241","next":"us-nv/nrs-695g.245"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
