In whatever manner is typically used by the owner or landlord of a qualified multifamily affordable housing property to communicate with residents and new tenants, as applicable, on matters related to common areas and utilities for the property, the owner or landlord shall:\n(a) Not less than 30 days before a solar-powered affordable housing system is installed on an existing qualified multifamily affordable housing property, notify residents of occupied tenant units that a solar-powered affordable housing system will be installed on the premises of the qualified multifamily affordable housing property; and\n(b) Notify each new tenant of the presence of the solar-powered affordable housing system on the premises.\n2. A notification required by subsection 1 must include, without limitation:\n(a) The nameplate capacity of the solar-powered affordable housing system, the expected energy production of the system and a summary of the manner of making the equitable allocations required by the provisions described in subsection 2 of NRS 704.7733;\n(b) The particular limitations and responsibilities of a user of a solar-powered affordable housing system;\n(c) The contact information for the utility; and\n(d) The contact information for the appropriate entity with the authority and responsibility to grant federal, state or local funds pursuant to a program, law or regulation as described in NRS 704.7712.","path":["TITLE 58 — ENERGY; PUBLIC UTILITIES AND SIMILAR ENTITIES","CHAPTER 704 - REGULATION OF PUBLIC UTILITIES GENERALLY","ELECTRIC SERVICE","Net Metering Systems"],"source_url":"https://www.leg.state.nv.us/NRS/NRS-704.html#NRS704Sec7738","current_through":"2025 session (NRS as revised 2026-08-25)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T05:51:47Z","sha256":"5aa63c66aa56fb11339cca1fac7665ea13c1194c01e2b8148717db62e49e0ed7","source_id":"us-nv","stale":false,"prev":"us-nv/nrs-704.7737","next":"us-nv/nrs-704.7739"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
