The court of claims is continued. It shall consist of the eight\njudges now authorized by law, but the legislature may increase such\nnumber and may reduce such number to six or seven. The judges shall be\nappointed by the governor by and with the advice and consent of the\nsenate and their terms of office shall be nine years. The court shall\nhave jurisdiction to hear and determine claims against the state or by\nthe state against the claimant or between conflicting claimants as the\nlegislature may provide.","path":["Constitution","Article VI.
