Adjournment of fact-finding hearing. (a) If the respondent is\nin pre-dispositional placement, the court may adjourn a fact-finding\nhearing\n  (i) on its own motion or on motion of the petitioner for good cause\nshown for not more than three days;\n  (ii) on motion on behalf of the respondent or by his or her parent or\nother person legally responsible for his or her care for good cause\nshown, for a reasonable period of time.\n  (b) Successive motions to adjourn a fact-finding hearing may be\ngranted only under special circumstances.\n  (c) The court shall state on the record the reason for any adjournment\nof the fact-finding hearing.","path":["Family Court Act","Article 7.
