As used in this article, unless the context\nclearly requires otherwise, the following words or terms shall have the\nfollowing meanings:\n  1. \"Controlled substance\" shall have the same meaning as defined in\nsection three thousand three hundred two of the public health law.\n  2. (a) \"Drug-related paraphernalia\" consists of the following objects\nused for the following purposes:\n  (i) Kits, used or designed for the purpose of planting, propagating,\ncultivating, growing or harvesting of any species of plant which is a\ncontrolled substance or from which a controlled substance can be\nderived;\n  (ii) Kits, used or designed for the purpose of manufacturing,\ncompounding, converting, producing, or preparing controlled substances;\n  (iii) Isomerization devices, used or designed for the purpose of\nincreasing the potency of any species of plant which is a controlled\nsubstance;\n  (iv) Scales and balances, used or designed for the purpose of weighing\nor measuring controlled substances;\n  (v) Diluents and adulterants, including but not limited to quinine\nhydrochloride, mannitol, mannite, dextrose and lactose, used or designed\nfor the purpose of cutting controlled substances;\n  (vi) and\n  (vii) Objects, used or designed for the purpose of ingesting,\ninhaling, or otherwise introducing cocaine into the human body.\n  (b) \"Drug-related paraphernalia\" shall not include hypodermic needles,\nhypodermic syringes and other objects used for the purpose of\nparenterally injecting controlled substances into the human body.","path":["General Business Law","Article 39.
