For purposes of this section, the following terms shall have the following meanings:\n\n1. \"Bridge\" shall mean a span that includes a roadway for use by motor vehicles, that is located above another surface.\n\n2. \"Work zone\" shall mean a location where workers are engaged in a stationary operation that exceeds four hours in duration and which is not predominantly separated from traffic by a temporary concrete or other rigid barrier system.\n\nb. On or before January 1, 2015, the commissioner shall conduct a review of guidelines and best practices with regard to work zone safety on bridges that are under the jurisdiction of the department.
