Code § 21-1002","heading":"§ 21-1002 Definitions.","body":"For purposes of this chapter, the following terms have the following meanings:\n\nAfterschool program. The term “afterschool program” means any program offered by (1) the department, where such program is funded by the department, (2) the department of youth and community development, or (3) a provider under a contract with the department or department of youth and community development that provides supervised activities outside of school hours for students in grades kindergarten through 12.\n\nHome language. The term “home language” means the language most frequently used in a student's home, as indicated by the response provided by the student’s parent or person in parental relation, as such term is defined in subdivision 10 of section 2 of the education law, on the home language questionnaire as such term is defined in section 154-2.2 of title 8 of the New York codes, rules and regulations, regarding services for English language learners, or a successor provision.\n\nSchool.
