Cable tray systems shall be permitted to support service-entrance conductors. Cable trays used to support service-entrance conductors shall contain only service-entrance conductors listed for use in cable trays and shall be limited to Type MI Cable.\n\nSuch cable trays shall be identified with permanently affixed labels with the wording “Service-Entrance Conductors.” The labels shall be located so as to be visible after installation with a spacing not to exceed 10 ft (3 m) so that the service-entrance conductors are able to be readily traced through the entire length of the cable tray.","path":["New York City Administrative Code","Title 28","Chapter 11: The New York City Electrical Code"],"source_url":"https://files.amlegal.com/pdffiles/NewYorkCity/Admin/XML.zip","current_through":"Local Law 2026/135 (enacted August 31, 2026)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T02:48:57Z","sha256":"24148628bb93822ab68f3c0d58f3fa0fa8fd4b8446cea9845057ca465eb30499","source_id":"us-nyc","stale":false,"prev":"us-nyc/n.y.c.-admin.-code-230.43","next":"us-nyc/n.y.c.-admin.-code-230.46"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
