Code § 27-805","heading":"§ 27-805 General requirements.","body":"Clearances from combustible construction in walls, partitions and ceilings adjacent to combustion or heating equipment shall not be less than that tabulated in reference standard RS 14-15, provided the following conditions are met:\n\n(a) All clearances shall comply with the requirements specified in section 27-792 of article one of this subchapter.\n\n(b) Heating and combustion equipment which has been tested in accordance with the applicable standards listed in reference standard RS-14, shall be installed with the clearances determined by such tests.\n\n(c) Equipment which has been approved, as provided in section 27-135 of article eight of subchapter one of this chapter, shall be installed in accordance with the conditions of such approval.","path":["New York City Administrative Code","Title 27","Chapter 1: Building Code"],"source_url":"https://files.amlegal.com/pdffiles/NewYorkCity/Admin/XML.zip","current_through":"Local Law 2026/135 (enacted August 31, 2026)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T02:48:57Z","sha256":"f48ad910a2a2328f339d585f94022bfc82924c1b6752f0c3bee2cad60d30e8f3","source_id":"us-nyc","stale":false,"prev":"us-nyc/n.y.c.-admin.-code-27-804","next":"us-nyc/n.y.c.-admin.-code-27-806"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
