Code § 9-301","heading":"§ 9-301 Definitions.","body":"As used in this chapter, the following terms have the following meanings:\n\nCharge. The term \"charge\" means the most serious offense charged or alleged in a criminal summons.\n\nCriminal summons. The term \"criminal summons\" has the same meaning as that in section 14-101.\n\nOffense. The term \"offense\" has the same meaning as that in section 10.00 of the penal law or any successor provision.\n\nOffice.
