Code § FC 2701","heading":"Section FC 2701: General","body":"2701.1 Scope.\n\nThis chapter shall govern the design, installation, operation and maintenance of semiconductor fabrication facilities and comparable research and development facilities classified as Group H-5 occupancies, and the storage, handling and use of hazardous materials therein.\n\n2701.2 Application.\n\nThe requirements set forth in this chapter are requirements specific only to Group H-5 and shall be applied as exceptions or additions to applicable requirements set forth elsewhere in this code.\n\n2701.3 Multiple hazards.\n\nWhere a material poses multiple hazards, all hazards shall be addressed in accordance with FC 5001.1.\n\n2701.4 General.\n\nSemiconductor fabrication facilities and comparable research and development facilities classified as Group H-5 occupancies shall be designed, installed, operated and maintained in accordance with this chapter\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Such facilities and hazardous materials shall additionally comply with the requirements of the construction codes, including the Building Code.\n\n2701.5 Permits.\n\nPermits shall be required as set forth in FC 105.6.","path":["New York City Administrative Code","Title 29","Chapter 2: New York City Fire Code"],"source_url":"https://files.amlegal.com/pdffiles/NewYorkCity/Admin/XML.zip","current_through":"Local Law 2026/135 (enacted August 31, 2026)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T02:48:57Z","sha256":"58c1d9b858ed8f9637e3f1e31c9c4861ad72930e665984a2cccb9bc360348568","source_id":"us-nyc","stale":true,"prev":"us-nyc/n.y.c.-admin.-code-fc-2603","next":"us-nyc/n.y.c.-admin.-code-fc-2702"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
