Code § FC 3301","heading":"Section FC 3301: General","body":"3301.1 Scope.\n\nThis chapter shall govern fire safety measures during the construction, alteration, or demolition of buildings, structures, premises and facilities.\n\n3301.2 General.\n\nBuildings, structures, premises and facilities undergoing construction, alteration or demolition shall comply with the fire safety measures set forth in this chapter, and shall additionally comply with the requirements of NFPA 241 as to measures not specifically addressed herein.\n\n3301.3 Permits.\n\nPermits shall be required as set forth in FC 105.6.\n\n3301.4 Prohibitions.\n\nIt shall be unlawful at a construction site to store, handle or use portable fueled space heating devices or equipment.\n\nException: Portable space heating devices may be used for construction-related curing and drying in accordance with FC 3303.","path":["New York City Administrative Code","Title 29","Chapter 2: New York City Fire Code"],"source_url":"https://files.amlegal.com/pdffiles/NewYorkCity/Admin/XML.zip","current_through":"Local Law 2026/135 (enacted August 31, 2026)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T02:48:57Z","sha256":"eacb95c1b38991233d9a57eabef61fbda7cb8f2ff3c0cac2a29fed46c9efbc2a","source_id":"us-nyc","stale":true,"prev":"us-nyc/n.y.c.-admin.-code-fc-3210","next":"us-nyc/n.y.c.-admin.-code-fc-3302"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
