Code § FC 6405","heading":"Section FC 6405: Handling and Use","body":"6405.1 General.\n\nPyrophoric materials in amounts exceeding the maximum allowable quantity per control area indicated in FC Table 5003.1.1(1) or 5003.1.1(3) shall be handled and used in accordance with FC 5001, 5003, 5005 and this chapter.\n\n6405.2 Fire protection.\n\nWhen overhead construction is provided for sheltering of outdoor use areas of pyrophoric materials, the use areas shall be protected throughout by a fire extinguishing system.\n\n6405.3 Silane gas.\n\nThe handling and use of silane gas, and gas mixtures with a silane gas concentration of 1.37 percent or more by volume, shall be in accordance with CGA G-13.","path":["New York City Administrative Code","Title 29","Chapter 2: New York City Fire Code"],"source_url":"https://files.amlegal.com/pdffiles/NewYorkCity/Admin/XML.zip","current_through":"Local Law 2026/135 (enacted August 31, 2026)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T02:48:57Z","sha256":"b003d8fe6b28d4d0f022efbd5f519c534972cf384433cc3ba203c4768c940cd5","source_id":"us-nyc","stale":false,"prev":"us-nyc/n.y.c.-admin.-code-fc-6404","next":"us-nyc/n.y.c.-admin.-code-fc-6406"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
