Code § FGC_AppG.5.4","heading":"G.5.4 Emergency gas shutoff.","body":"An emergency gas shutoff valve shall be provided on the gas supply outside of any room containing an appliance utilizing gas at a pressure at or above 15 psig (103.4 kPa gauge). The emergency shutoff valve shall be controlled from a break glass station located outside the room served and from the gas detection system monitoring the room. The emergency shutoff valve shall automatically stop the gas flow to the room(s) containing the appliance(s) in the event of an unsafe condition. The emergency shutoff valve shall be manually operable.
