No. 893\n\nBy Council Member Greitzer (by request of the Mayor); also Council Members Leffler, Michels, Pinkett, Robles, Spigner, Eisland, Dryfoos, Dear and Lisa\n\nA Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to information regarding redemption of beverage containers\n\nBe it enacted by the Council as follows:\n\nSection 1. Legislative intent. The council finds that there is undue confusion on the part of the public regarding consumers' rights pursuant to title ten of article twenty-seven of the environmental conservation law of the state of New York, titled the New York state returnable container act, popularly known as the \"Bottle Bill\" or \"Bottle Law\".\n\nAccordingly, the council finds that there is a need to publicize the rights of consumers under the returnable container act at the place of container return by the consumer.\n\n* * *\n\n[Consolidated provisions are not included in this Appendix A]\n\n* * *\n\n§ 3.
