No. 536-A\n\nBy Council Members Horwitz, Harrison, Fields, Maloney, Marshall, Robles, Wooten, Michels and Cerullo III; also Council Members Clarke, Castaneira-Colon, Eisland, Freed, Koslowitz, Linares, McCabe, McCaffrey, Warden, Watkins, Weiner, White, Williams, Sabini, Ward, Rivera, Eldridge, Ognibene, Duane, Alter and Robinson\n\nA Local Law to amend the Administrative Code of the City of New York in relation to an application for a waiver from the requirements of state legislation concerning home care services.\n\nBe it enacted by the Council as follows:\n\nSection 1. Declaration of intent. The Council finds that the case-management model is the preferred way in which to deliver social services to the people of the City of New York. This is particularly true of the Community Alternatives System Agency (CASA) because, while the Council strongly supports a proper mix of private and public delivery of social services, a case-management model, as exemplified by CASA, provides a desirable system for monitoring the delivery of social services by private vendors so as to ensure that public monies are being properly expended and that needed services are being efficiently delivered.\n\n* * *\n\n[Consolidated provisions are not included in this Appendix A]\n\n* * *\n\n§ 3.
