No. 277-A\n\nBy Council Members Ulrich, Oddo, Brewer, James, Lander, Van Bramer, Williams, Lappin, Recchia Jr., Chin, Weprin, Gennaro, Jackson, Garodnick, Fidler, Mark-Viverito, Crowley, Koppell, Levin, Reyna, Rodriguez and Rose\n\nA Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to improving lighting efficiency in dwellings and repealing sections 27-2038 and 27-2039 of such code in relation thereto.\n\nBe it enacted by the Council as follows:\n\nSection 1. Statement of findings and purpose. Certain current lighting requirements of the housing maintenance code are outdated and do not conform with other New York city codes, in particular the New York city energy conservation code. These requirements should be updated and revised in order to improve lighting efficiency in residential buildings, subject, where applicable, to any stricter requirements of the multiple dwelling law.\n\n* * *\n\n[Consolidated provisions are not included in this Appendix A]\n\n* * *\n\n§ 3.
