No. 851\n\nBy Council Members Matteo, Holden, Vallone, Miller and Ulrich\n\nA Local Law in relation to a plan to increase enforcement of littering out of vehicles\n\nBe it enacted by the Council as follows:\n\nSection 1. The commissioner of sanitation shall develop and submit to the mayor and the speaker of the council by April 1, 2019, a plan to increase enforcement of subdivision 4 of section 16-118 of the administrative code of the city of New York. This plan shall include but not be limited to:\n\na. a list of locations in the city where litter is commonly thrown from cars, which shall be developed by such commissioner in consultation with council members and community boards;\n\nb. the number of sanitation officers necessary to enforce such subdivision in such locations;\n\nc. the number of violations issued annually for littering out of a vehicle, disaggregated by sanitation district;\n\nd. a description of steps the department of sanitation will take to increase enforcement of such subdivision; and\n\ne. a timeline for implementation of such plan.\n\n§ 2.
