Code § PC 1401","heading":"Section PC 1401: General","body":"1401.1 Scope.\n\nThe provisions of \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tChapter 14\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t shall govern the materials, design, construction and installation of subsurface landscape irrigation systems connected to nonpotable water from on-site water reuse systems.\n\n1401.2 Materials.\n\nAbove-ground drain, waste and vent piping for subsurface landscape irrigation systems shall conform to one of the standards listed in \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tTable 702.1\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t. Subsurface landscape irrigation, underground building drainage and vent pipe shall conform to one of the standards listed in \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tTable 702.2\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t.\n\n1401.3 Tests.\n\nDrain, waste and vent piping for subsurface landscape irrigation systems shall be tested in accordance with Section \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t312\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t.\n\n1401.4 Inspections.\n\nSubsurface landscape irrigation systems shall be inspected in accordance with Section \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t107\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t.\n\n1401.5 Disinfection.\n\nDisinfection shall not be required for on-site nonpotable water reuse for subsurface landscape irrigation systems.\n\n1401.6 Coloring.\n\nOn-site nonpotable water reuse for subsurface landscape irrigation systems shall not be required to be dyed.","path":["New York City Administrative Code","Title 28","Chapter 6: New York City Plumbing Code"],"source_url":"https://files.amlegal.com/pdffiles/NewYorkCity/Admin/XML.zip","current_through":"Local Law 2026/135 (enacted August 31, 2026)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T02:48:57Z","sha256":"bb6007b0fd8cee020bf8b87c5886eb406c2cfc8aea94e79010edeadbc59c2580","source_id":"us-nyc","stale":false,"prev":"us-nyc/n.y.c.-admin.-code-pc-1304","next":"us-nyc/n.y.c.-admin.-code-pc-1402"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
