Code § PC 423","heading":"Section PC 423: Specialty Plumbing Fixtures","body":"423.1 Water connections.\n\nBaptisteries, ornamental and lily pools, aquariums, ornamental fountain basins, swimming pools, and similar constructions, where provided with water supplies, shall be protected against backflow in accordance with Section 608.\n\n423.2 Approval.\n\nSpecialties requiring water and waste connections shall be submitted for approval.\n\n423.3 Footbaths, pedicure baths and head shampoo sinks.\n\nThe water supplied to specialty plumbing fixtures, such as pedicure chairs having an integral foot bathtub, footbaths, and head shampoo sinks, shall be limited to a maximum temperature of 120°F (49°C) by a water temperature limiting device that conforms to ASSE 1070 or CSA B125.3.","path":["New York City Administrative Code","Title 28","Chapter 6: New York City Plumbing Code"],"source_url":"https://files.amlegal.com/pdffiles/NewYorkCity/Admin/XML.zip","current_through":"Local Law 2026/135 (enacted August 31, 2026)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T02:48:57Z","sha256":"0846862199e372a59253c779d05869693e173e78a4220382edebbd4d68cc2ee7","source_id":"us-nyc","stale":false,"prev":"us-nyc/n.y.c.-admin.-code-pc-422","next":"us-nyc/n.y.c.-admin.-code-pc-424"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
