Code § PC 714","heading":"Section PC 714: Computerized Drainage Design","body":"714.1 Design of drainage system.\n\nThe sizing, design and layout of the drainage system shall be permitted to be designed by approved computer design methods.\n\n714.2 Load on drainage system.\n\nThe load shall be computed from the simultaneous or sequential discharge conditions from fixtures, appurtenances and appliances or the peak usage design condition.\n\n714.2.1 Fixture discharge profiles.\n\nThe discharge profiles for flow rates versus time from fixtures and appliances shall be in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.\n\n714.3 Selections of drainage pipe sizes.\n\nPipe shall be sized to prevent full-bore flow.\n\n714.3.1 Selecting pipe wall roughness.\n\nPipe size calculations shall be conducted with the pipe wall roughness factor (k\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\ts\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t), in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and as modified for aging roughness factors with deposits and corrosion.\n\n714.3.2 Slope of horizontal drainage piping.\n\nHorizontal drainage piping shall be designed and installed at slopes in accordance with Table 704.1.","path":["New York City Administrative Code","Title 28","Chapter 6: New York City Plumbing Code"],"source_url":"https://files.amlegal.com/pdffiles/NewYorkCity/Admin/XML.zip","current_through":"Local Law 2026/135 (enacted August 31, 2026)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-06T02:48:57Z","sha256":"2149dd013b75913952f91cb37d335fa3d9802781931275f3e0d965dee1f4b6c9","source_id":"us-nyc","stale":false,"prev":"us-nyc/n.y.c.-admin.-code-pc-713","next":"us-nyc/n.y.c.-admin.-code-pc-715"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
