Code § 121.49","heading":"Qualifications.","body":"(A) Subject to division (B) of this section, only an individual who meets one or more of the following qualifications is eligible to be appointed inspector general:\n(1) At least five years experience as a law enforcement officer in this or any other state;\n(2) Admission to the bar of this or any other state;\n(3) Certification as a certified public accountant in this or any other state;\n(4) At least five years service as the comptroller or similar officer of a public or private entity in this or any other state;\n(5) At least five years service as a deputy inspector general in this or any other state.\n(B) No individual who has been convicted, in this or any other state, of a felony or of any crime involving fraud, dishonesty, or moral turpitude shall be appointed inspector general.","path":["Title 1 State Government","Chapter 121 State Departments"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-121.49","current_through":"2023-10-03 (House Bill 33 - 135th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:24Z","sha256":"7d1eb32d4eb17f534a5c85301a212313d5af2ea482734d4ea10ae5ab9aed480c","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-121.483","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-121.50"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
