Code § 128.22","heading":"9-1-1 program office powers.","body":"The 9-1-1 program office may do all of the following:\n(A) Expend funds from the 9-1-1 program fund for the purposes of 9-1-1 public education;\n(B) Coordinate, adopt, and communicate all necessary technical and operational standards and requirements to ensure an effective model for a statewide interconnected 9-1-1 system;\n(C) Collect and distribute data from and to public safety answering points, service providers, and emergency service providers regarding both of the following:\n(1) The status and operation of the components of the statewide 9-1-1 system, including all of the following:\n(a) The aggregate number of access lines that the provider maintains within this state;\n(b) The aggregate amount of costs and cost recovery associated with providing 9-1-1 service, including coverage under tariffs and bill and keep arrangements within this state;\n(c) Any other information requested by the steering committee and deemed necessary to support the transition to next generation 9-1-1.\n(2) Location information necessary for the reconciliation and synchronization of next generation 9-1-1 location information, including all of the following:\n(a) Address location information;\n(b) Master street address guide;\n(c) Service order inputs;\n(d) Geographic information system files;\n(e) Street center lines;\n(f) Response boundaries;\n(g) Administrative boundaries;\n(h) Address points.\n(D) Require, coordinate, oversee, and limit data collection and distribution to ensure that data collection and distribution meets legal privacy and confidentiality requirements;\n(E) With advice from the 9-1-1 steering committee, enter into interlocal contracts, interstate contracts, intrastate contracts, and federal contracts for the purpose of implementing statewide 9-1-1 services.","path":["Title 1 State Government","Chapter 128 9-1-1 Emergency Telephone Number System"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-128.22","current_through":"2023-10-03 (House Bill 33 - 135th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:24Z","sha256":"0d249c3c69a0884865f07079acc5184029113141b242eead4e478868210e0b19","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-128.212","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-128.221"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
