Code § 1309.609","heading":"Secured party's right to take possession after default - UCC 9-609.","body":"(A) After default, a secured party:\n(1) May take possession of the collateral; and\n(2) Without removal, may render equipment unusable and dispose of collateral on a debtor's premises under section 1309.610 of the Revised Code.\n(B) A secured party may act under division (A) of this section:\n(1) Pursuant to judicial process; or\n(2) Without judicial process if it acts without breach of the peace.\n(C) If so agreed, and in any event after default, a secured party may require the debtor to assemble the collateral and make it available to the secured party at a place that is designated by the secured party and that is reasonably convenient to both parties.","path":["Title 13 Commercial Transactions","Chapter 1309 Secured Transactions"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-1309.609","current_through":"2001-07-01 (Senate Bill 74 - 124th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:29Z","sha256":"07c3cc1cf2e30091b791d88889050fdcb60c7b987718bad29f61b4e3697ad223","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-1309.608","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-1309.610"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
