Code § 1349.37","heading":"Office of consumer affairs.","body":"There is hereby created in the division of financial institutions the office of consumer affairs. The responsibilities of the office shall, at a minimum, include all of the following:\n(A) Providing education to residents of this state regarding borrowing and related financial topics;\n(B) Providing referrals to credit counseling services;\n(C) Receiving complaints regarding alleged failures to comply with section 1349.26 or 1349.27 of the Revised Code;\n(D) Contacting the persons that are the subject of such complaints, on behalf of the consumers;\n(E) Referring matters to the superintendent of financial institutions for action under section 1349.34 of the Revised Code.","path":["Title 13 Commercial Transactions","Chapter 1349 Consumer Protection"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-1349.37","current_through":"2002-05-24 (House Bill 386 - 124th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:29Z","sha256":"837c5aed96420db1ccf7eaea8ced4caf279fd9b6736c08729f9b4caaf9196e23","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-1349.36","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-1349.41"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
