Code § 146.10","heading":"Collecting assessment.","body":"(A) If a member of the volunteer fire fighters' dependents fund having a volunteer fire department or employing volunteer fire fighters does not pay the assessment provided in section 146.09 of the Revised Code within forty-five days after notice, the state fire marshal shall proceed with collection in the same manner as provided in section 146.08 of the Revised Code.\n(B) If a private volunteer fire company which is a member of the fund does not pay the assessment provided in section 146.09 of the Revised Code within forty-five days after notice, such company shall be suspended as a member of the fund and shall be ineligible to file any new claim occurring during the period of suspension.","path":["Title 1 State Government","Chapter 146 Volunteer Fire Fighters' Dependents Fund"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-146.10","current_through":"1985-07-11 (House Bill 201 - 116th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:25Z","sha256":"31d60acaed991a1e3ee9b0492ac6bf45a4239581c42805fa3e906141b2b10f9f","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-146.09","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-146.12"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
