Code § 1513.371","heading":"Long-term abandoned mine reclamation fund.","body":"The long-term abandoned mine reclamation fund is created in the state treasury. The fund shall be administered by the chief of the division of mineral resources management and consist of grants awarded by the United States secretary of the interior from the federal abandoned mine reclamation fund pursuant to the federal \"Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act,\" Pub. L. No. 177-58. All investment earnings of the fund shall be credited to the fund.\nThe fund shall be used for abatement of the causes and treatment of the effects of acid mine drainage resulting from coal mine practices, including the following:\n(A) The costs of building, operating, maintaining, and rehabilitating acid mine drainage treatment systems;\n(B) The prevention, abatement, and control of subsidence;\n(C) The prevention, abatement, and control of coal mine fires.","path":["Title 15 Conservation of Natural Resources","Chapter 1513 Coal Surface Mining"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-1513.371","current_through":"2025-09-30 (House Bill 96 - 136th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:29Z","sha256":"113e0f6f39215f83ddf983cd3732f8c8d9d3269003c6541939f44a8670610356","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-1513.37","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-1513.372"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
