Code § 153.83","heading":"Hearings related to contractor labor agreements.","body":"(A) As used in this section, \"public improvement\" means any of the following:\n(1) A road, bridge, highway, street, or tunnel;\n(2) A waste water treatment system or water supply system;\n(3) A solid waste disposal facility or a storm water and sanitary collection, storage, and treatment facility;\n(4) Any structure or work constructed by a state agency or by another person on behalf of a state agency pursuant to a contract with the state agency.\n(B) Before a state agency may issue a bid specification for a proposed public improvement that requires a contractor or subcontractor to enter into a project labor agreement, the state agency shall hold a public hearing on the matter.\n(C) The state agency shall publish notice of the hearing not less than thirty days before the date of the hearing.\n(D) A state agency shall decide whether to include the requirement described in division (B) of this section for a proposed public improvement not earlier than thirty days after the hearing required under that division.","path":["Title 1 State Government","Chapter 153 Public Improvements"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-153.83","current_through":"2015-09-29 (House Bill 64 - 131st General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:25Z","sha256":"7ad1226a2b8c87c7f0a6f409722268c4f184f97b4144310272d20746a7837232","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-153.81","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-153.99"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
