Code § 2108.267","heading":"Denial of recovery of part by coroner.","body":"(A) Except as provided in division (B) of this section, if the coroner or the coroner's designee denies recovery of an organ, tissue, or eye from a decedent whose body is under the jurisdiction of the coroner, the coroner or designee shall do all of the following:\n(1) Explain in a record the specific reasons for not allowing recovery of the part;\n(2) Include in the records of the coroner the specific reasons for not allowing recovery of the part;\n(3) Provide a record with the specific reasons for not allowing recovery of the part to the procurement organization.\n(B) The requirements of division (A) of this section do not apply when a coroner or designee denies recovery of an organ from a decedent under two years of age.","path":["Title 21 Courts-Probate-Juvenile","Chapter 2108 Human Bodies Or Parts Thereof"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-2108.267","current_through":"2009-04-07 (House Bill 529 - 127th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:30Z","sha256":"db1f87247edeb55f02b589cf4eb7fd6c51df0ca496a3c33ef84d5bcb3fd231f1","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-2108.266","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-2108.268"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
