Training shall include all of the following topics:\n(A) The legal rights and responsibilities of host families;\n(B) The qualified organization's policies and procedures regarding host families;\n(C) The effects that separation and attachment issues have on children and their families;\n(D) The effects of physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, and substance abuse on normal human growth and development, as well as information on reporting child abuse and neglect;\n(E) Behavior management techniques;\n(F) Cultural competence;\n(G) Prevention, recognition, and management of communicable diseases;\n(H) Community health and social services available to children and their families;\n(I) Training on appropriate and positive behavioral intervention techniques;\n(J) Education advocacy training;\n(K) The host family's responsibility to report abuse or neglect of a child under section 2151.9011 of the Revised Code.","path":["Title 21 Courts-Probate-Juvenile","Chapter 2151 Juvenile Court"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-2151.909","current_through":"2019-10-17 (House Bill 166 - 133rd General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:30Z","sha256":"3678feeb70323a868b14930ae7b4a705be3cbba1d16c7f4c8feb7690863fe8c1","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-2151.908","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-2151.9010"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
