Code § 2301.571","heading":"Inmate responsibility for medical expenses.","body":"(A) A person who has been convicted of or pleaded guilty to an offense and who is confined in a community-based correctional facility or district community-based correctional facility is financially responsible for the payment of any medical expense or service requested by and provided to that person.\n(B) No person confined in a community-based correctional facility or district community-based correctional facility shall be denied any necessary medical care because of inability to pay for medical treatment or service.\n(C) Nothing in this section shall cause a community-based correctional facility or district community-based correctional facility to be responsible for the payment of any medical or other health care expenses incurred in connection with an offender who is serving a term in the facility pursuant to section 2929.16 of the Revised Code.","path":["Title 23 Courts-Common Pleas","Chapter 2301 Organization"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-2301.571","current_through":"2012-09-10 (House Bill 487 - 129th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:30Z","sha256":"47665504f315e8f51c35f69af939dd6fa4a9e9b6ea1941ee3c87af94cb2d14e3","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-2301.57","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-2301.58"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
