Code § 2327.01","heading":"Execution defined.","body":"(A) As used in this chapter, \"private selling officer\" has the same meaning as in section 2329.01 of the Revised Code.\n(B)(1) An execution is a process of a court, issued by its clerk, the court itself, or the county board of revision with jurisdiction pursuant to section 323.66 of the Revised Code, and directed to the sheriff of the county.\n(2) An execution includes a process of a court, issued by its clerk or the court itself, and directed to a private selling officer authorized in accordance with section 2329.151, 2329.152, or 5721.39 of the Revised Code.\n(3) Executions may be issued to the sheriffs of different counties or different private selling officers at the same time.","path":["Title 23 Courts-Common Pleas","Chapter 2327 Execution Generally"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-2327.01","current_through":"2016-09-28 (House Bill 390 - 131st General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:30Z","sha256":"f849efcb61c1f092e714af2f27028ead7ff4c77f76e10d443ff8be347614a6f7","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-2325.20","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-2327.02"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
