Code § 2729.14","heading":"Replacement of lost records.","body":"When the record, or any part thereof, of the proceedings, judgment, or decree in an action or other proceeding of a court in this state, in which a final judgment has been rendered, is lost or destroyed by fire, riot, or civil commotion, upon the application of a party interested therein, such court may grant an order authorizing such record or part thereof to be supplied or replaced:\n(A) By a certified copy of such original record, or part thereof, when it can be obtained;\n(B) By a certified copy of the record in the supreme court of such original record of any action or proceeding removed to that court which remains recorded therein;\n(C) By the original pleadings, entries, papers, and files in such action or proceeding, when they can be obtained;\n(D) By an agreement in writing signed by all the parties to such action or proceeding, or by their representatives or attorneys, that a substituted copy of such original record is substantially correct.","path":["Title 27 Courts-General Provisions-Special Remedies","Chapter 2729 Lost And Destroyed Records"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-2729.14","current_through":"1953-10-01 (House Bill 1 - 100th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:31Z","sha256":"553a4a46e11584d954bfe7cb0c5016445f3de72fe5c2c88dfab696cba8dd62b0","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-2729.13","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-2729.15"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
