Code § 2969.11","heading":"Crime victims recovery fund definitions.","body":"As used in sections 2969.11 to 2969.14 of the Revised Code:\n(A) \"Crime victims recovery fund\" means the fund created by division (D) of section 2929.32 of the Revised Code.\n(B) \"Victim\" means a person who suffers personal injury, death, or property loss as a result of any of the following, or the beneficiaries of an action for the wrongful death of any person killed as a result of any of the following:\n(1) An offense committed by an offender in whose name a separate account is maintained in the crime victims recovery fund pursuant to section 2969.12 of the Revised Code;\n(2) The good faith effort of a person to prevent an offense committed by an offender in whose name a separate account is maintained in the crime victims recovery fund pursuant to section 2969.12 of the Revised Code;\n(3) The good faith effort of a person to apprehend a person suspected of engaging in an offense committed by an offender in whose name a separate account is maintained in the crime victims recovery fund pursuant to section 2969.12 of the Revised Code.","path":["Title 29 Crimes-Procedure","Chapter 2969 Recovery of Offender's Profits Fund; Crime Victims Recovery Fund"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-2969.11","current_through":"2004-01-01 (House Bill 490 - 124th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:32Z","sha256":"5021dfdcda2e7a6f6e39444505575dd811568b01a65b0fe40fbee468f23ba222","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-2969.06","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-2969.12"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
