Code § 3109.173","heading":"Regional prevention coordinator.","body":"(A) Each child abuse and child neglect regional prevention council shall be under the direction of a regional prevention coordinator. The children's trust fund board may select each region's coordinator through a competitive selection process conducted by the board. If the board has not selected a regional coordinator through a competitive selection process for a region, children's trust fund staff shall serve as coordinator for that region.\n(B) Regional prevention coordinators shall do all of the following:\n(1) Select a representative to serve as chairperson of the regional prevention council pursuant to division (G) of section 3109.172 of the Revised Code;\n(2) Conduct a needs assessment to ascertain the child abuse and neglect prevention programming and services that are needed in the region;\n(3) Work with county prevention specialists in the region to assemble the regional prevention plan based on children's trust fund board guidelines pursuant to section 3109.174 of the Revised Code;\n(4) Implement the regional prevention plan, including the following:\n(a) Monitoring fulfillment of prevention deliverables and achievement of prevention outcomes;\n(b) Coordinating county data collection;\n(c) Ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the board.\n(5) Any additional duties specified by the department in rules adopted pursuant to Chapter 119. of the Revised Code.","path":["Title 31 Domestic Relations-Children","Chapter 3109 Children"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-3109.173","current_through":"2025-09-30 (House Bill 96 - 136th General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:32Z","sha256":"900c55238f9681f9bcdfe335c2c627aa99d6a9b0b3bfb881f82d475cbc865e5c","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-3109.172","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-3109.174"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
