Code § 3115.211","heading":"Continuing, exlcusive jurisdiction to modify spousal-support order.","body":"(A) A tribunal of this state issuing a spousal-support order consistent with the law of this state has continuing, exclusive jurisdiction to modify the spousal-support order throughout the existence of the support obligation.\n(B) A tribunal of this state may not modify a spousal-support order issued by a tribunal of another state or a foreign country having continuing, exclusive jurisdiction over that order under the law of that state or foreign country.\n(C) A tribunal of this state that has continuing, exclusive jurisdiction over a spousal-support order may serve as either of the following:\n(1) An initiating tribunal to request a tribunal of another state to enforce the spousal-support order issued in this state;\n(2) A responding tribunal to enforce or modify its own spousal-support order.","path":["Title 31 Domestic Relations-Children","Chapter 3115 Uniform Interstate Family Support Act of 2008"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-3115.211","current_through":"2016-01-01 (House Bill 64 - 131st General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:32Z","sha256":"6a1206dcb85d358342a5489dd4fb26ed0424581008c0c75a256a63e8162636a6","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-3115.210","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-3115.301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
