Code § 3115.615","heading":"Jurisdiction to modify child-support order of foreign country.","body":"(A) Except as otherwise provided in section 3115.711 of the Revised Code, if a foreign country lacks or refuses to exercise jurisdiction to modify its child-support order pursuant to its laws, a court of this state may assume jurisdiction to modify the child-support order and bind all individuals subject to the personal jurisdiction of the court whether the consent to modification of a child-support order otherwise required of the individual pursuant to section 3115.611 of the Revised Code has been given or whether the individual seeking modification is a resident of this state or of the foreign country.\n(B) An order issued by a court of this state modifying a foreign child-support order pursuant to this section is the controlling order.","path":["Title 31 Domestic Relations-Children","Chapter 3115 Uniform Interstate Family Support Act of 2008"],"source_url":"https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-3115.615","current_through":"2016-01-01 (House Bill 64 - 131st General Assembly)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:24:32Z","sha256":"c91b27ccb15013e6448506e5a8907aa5dc3674f4196e211a276be22ba66acd15","source_id":"us-oh","stale":false,"prev":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-3115.614","next":"us-oh/ohio-rev.-code-3115.616"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
